Lindsay Kaplan is a social marketing strategist and digital communications expert based in New York. Currently, she is the Marketing Director at social-shopping fashion start-up Chloe + Isabel.
Previously Manager of Social Marketing & Strategy at Publicis Modem, she brought to her accounts content strategy, measurement planning, emerging media recommendations and community activation guidance. Clients included LG, Cartier, L'Oreal and General Mills. In 2010, she served as ELLE Group's first Social Media Manager, where she developed and executed digital engagement strategies. Prior to ELLE, Kaplan was Communications & Social Media Manager of Time Out. During her tenure, she ran the company’s publicity efforts and was responsible for launching and monetizing social media extensions and partnerships. She was formerly a publicist at Oxford University Press.
She is a talking head on the TV Guide Network, a columnist for The Gloss, and an editor at
Neighborhoodr.com. The New York Observer recently profiled her relationship as a "New York Media Power Couple." Kaplan has been interviewed by The Next Web, Popular Mechanics and MediaBistro, and has contributed writing to publications including McSweeney’s, Gawker, Premiere, and Mountain Man Dance Moves (Random House, 2006).
She holds a B.A. in English and American Literature, Creative Writing and Philosophy from Brandeis University.
