Lindsay Kaplan is a communications strategist, internet innovator, writer, redhead and raconteur. As VP of Communications at Casper, she launched the sleep startup with the founding team, and currently directs brand messaging, publicity, social content, and communications strategy.
Ms. Kaplan began her career in publishing, managing publicity and social media at Oxford University Press, Time Out New York, and Elle. She worked on the agency side at Publicis, before bringing several startups to market, including Chloe + Isabel and DuJour Media.
She is an associate judge of the Webby Awards and a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Science. The New York Observer profiled her relationship as a “New York Media Power Couple,” BetaBeat named her one of the “Most Poachable Players in Tech," and she was a frequent on-air contributor on the TV Guide Channel.
Ms. Kaplan has been interviewed by Salon, Popular Mechanics, Mashable, and CBS SmartPlanet, and has contributed writing to publications such as McSweeney’s, Gawker, and the book Mountain Man Dance Moves (Random House, 2006). She holds a B.A. in English & American Literature, Creative Writing and Philosophy from Brandeis University.
